post vacay down day and back on schedule

Fasting Fam it feels good to be fasting again after all the heavy food and alcohol over the past 5 days. I did get up to 223 this morning but I know that after a couple of fast days I’ll be back to where I was. Consistency is key and where I tend to fail sometimes, so thanks for helping hold me accountable here.

Meal 1 of 3 was a chicken salad, and it’s delicious for being low-cal:

Meal 2 is in the works and what I call my Fast Day Soup:

Like the salad, you get a lot of volume with it and the tofu and broth help me feel full. Miracle Noodles are only 10 calories per package, a bargain! I put the ingredients in a mini slow cooker with some black pepper and the flavors meld together while I’m working.

Meal 3 will be the usual egg scramble of 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of egg whites, and a slice of cheese for 256 calories. Not sure which of the two meals I will have next.

The total calories for today including half and half with my coffee this morning is 717, within the range as stated by Dr. Michael Mosley, since I’m doing modified alternate day fasting. Maybe someday I will be able to do zero calorie fast days again but not for now.

Tonight’s workout will be chest & back for 30 minutes and a walk with Rick prior to warm up.
