1600 ish calorie day planned for tomorrow + a baby cannabis plant from seed, at last

Fasting Fam, I caught that nasty flu that’s going around a couple of weeks ago and was in bed for a few days with a fever and I didn’t eat much. This flu threw me out of the fasting schedule and took me a good week to recover but now I don’t feel like fasting but I feel like I need to do *something* again. I came up with a yummy 1600 ish meal plan for tomorrow and will be walking at lunch and working out with my workout partner after work so if desired I can sneak in a few extra calories (like shredded carrots on the salad, for example, maybe even some croutons) but this should keep me full.

I look forward to eating these filling meals, and the corndogs and egg dish will be a couple of hours apart from each other, not in one sitting like it’s listed here. Planning ahead helps me stay on track so much better than had I not planned my meals ahead of time. I ate too much today and am trying not to beat myself up about it and instead came up with a sensible meal plan.

I’m getting a piece of fruit, lotsa veggies, and lots of protein in this menu, and I get to enjoy the savory snack of the corndogs with zero calorie yellow mustard. Eggs always put lead in my tummy and they keep me full for hours and I’ll probably sneak in some low cal diced ham which makes it comforting breakfast food but in the afternoon for linner. After my workout I’ll make a chicken salad and airfry the chicken patty. There are fats here too to also help me feel full and satisfied.

For my stoner readers, I haven’t smoked since I got the flu over two weeks ago and am giving myself a good couple of months minimum break from inhaling cannabis. I’ve had the crazy vivid dreams here and there as a result and that’s been fun, though not exactly a relaxing sleep, more like going on a Middle Earth adventure and then waking up and going straight to work with little to no time to reflect upon said adventure before it all disappears into the vapor.

I did get some cannabis beverages over the weekend to help with the REM rebound and chose the Magic Number brand Sasparilla and Cola sodas that I mix with like zero calorie sodas to dilute them because they are 100mg THC per can and you really need to pace yourself (ask me how I know). These sodas are really tasty and fun and a great alternative to drinking alcohol, and the added in diet soda gives it way more fizz, however – it’s still not at all like the elevation that comes from a clean bong hit of fresh, natural flower. I prefer buuuuudddd..

I finally have one baby cannabis plant that I started from seed, sex and strain unknown, and I planted dozens of older seeds to get just this one. However, a friend recently gave me some new/fresh seeds and I planted 5 of those a couple of days ago, so we’ll see what happens! I’ll post a pic soon of my baby. It’s still young and in a fragile part of its life cycle and I’m leaving it alone as much as possible to let it do what it needs to do on its own time. I do have a small fluorescent plant light on it for much of the day. It’s not big enough yet to even do a first topping and needs to grow into its hardy “weed nature” first, imo. I put the jiffy puck into a small pot and in a week or two it will go into yet a bigger pot for a while before going outside in its final 20 gallon felt cloth pot on the patio.

Last year was the first year since 2016 that I wasn’t able to grow any cannabis because all my seeds were older and failed, and also because the dispensary by me that had clones, closed last year and I never did go in to the new dispensary that replaced it at that same location. I don’t have a car and this is a good mile and a half or so each way. I sure missed not having cannabis plants to talk to last year!

The good news is my trendy neighborhood is finally getting a dispensary of its own just 3 blocks from me sometime soon, and I’m hoping they will have clones for sale in case I can’t get more plants to grow from seed this year. I do prefer growing from seed but it was so great being able to buy a clone in 2024 when all of my seeds had failed and I was at my wit’s end. That clone gifted me some killer home grown Crater Lake #7 (sativa) and I still have about a quarter of it left! Totally worth the investment, I think it was around $25.

Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble on about food choices and cannabis.
