down 9 pounds from 227 to 218 – 19 lbs til Onederland

Mondays are great down days because work is always insanely busy on Monday. Today I wound up having:

juice: dandelion greens, apple, ginger, fennel, celery. 239 cals
skinless rotisserie chicken, plain 173 cals
egg scramble: 2 eggs, 1/4 c egg whites, 2 oz diced ham, cheese slice 343 cals

So yes, it was on the higher calorie side today at 755 calories, but since it was by green juice I don’t feel one iota of guilt. I have a lot of produce to use up and will be juicing on my fast days for a while. I can feel my body joyfully absorb all those live enzymes and nutrients and since I quit drinking alcohol I really want to rev up the live nutrition.

I’m proud of my ADF journey so far. I started at 227 pounds and lost 6 lbs after the first fast day – most of that being water weight. Since then the weight loss has been slower but steady, around a pound a week. I was at 218 this morning after an up day. I’m happy that during yesterday’s up day I didn’t have any cravings and was able to quit eating at the point of satiety without overeating. I enjoyed the foods I wanted to eat in reasonable portions and for me that is huge win and I hope that continues.
